Re:develop is for coders and those working with development teams. The conference is about expanding horizons, challenging approaches and learning through shared experiences, rather than a focus on any specific development discipline. Feedback from last year was incredible.
If you’ve got a great story or a desire to share something you’ve learned then we want to hear from you, even if you’re not a speaking regular. After the great talks last time, the bar is high, but we’d encourage everyone to submit something they’re passionate about. We want to hear from you whether you’re local or from further afield, no matter your background.
We’ll be selecting speakers based on the how interesting we think your experiences and talk will be. There’s a huge chance a theme will emerge in the submissions and it’s likely that this will make a difference to what we pick. If we select you, we’ll support you to make it the best it can be.
If you made an unsuccessful submission last time, we’d love to hear from you again. You can submit a maximum of 5 talks, but it’s worth considering that sometimes less is more. We’d rather receive one brilliant talk than five good ones. Please send us one submission per talk.
If you’d like to speak at re:develop, you just need to fill out the Google Form.
Submissions will close 31st July 2018
We absolutely want to hear your experiences making, breaking, and coding, but please no sales pitches.
Talks should aim to be 40 minutes long. As we construct the schedule for the day there may be room for slightly longer talks.
Goes without saying that you’ll need to be available on Friday 12th October 2018 (and possibly the day before if you need to travel to Bournemouth).
Re:develop isn’t a for-profit venture, so we don’t offer speaker fees. However, if you’re selected we’ll work hard to make sure you really enjoy your time at re:develop, including giving you:
